It supports all HDSP and HDSPe series cards and systems simultaneously. The TCO can be operated with the HDSP AES-32, the HDSPe PCI/MADI/AES/RayDAT/AIO, but not with the HDSP 9632 and 9652.

The latest features are described in detail in this global update of the user manuals:

http://www.rme-audio.de/download/windows_hdspseries_driver_4_e.pdf

Notes on the driver
-----------------

- In case an older driver of the 3.x generation had been installed before first perform a software deinstallation, so that the old TotalMix is no longer loaded. Details see below.

- This driver is not compatible to DIGICheck versions below 5.72. Please download the latest one from the RME website, section Downloads/DIGICheck.

- The driver requires a new Firmware (flash) in case you are updating from driver 2.94 or older.

Installation
-------------

Latest driver:
http://www.rme-audio.com/download/driver_hdsp_win_4xxx.zip

Follow the instructions of the RME Driver Install Wizard. This tool installs/updates all driver files. After that install the card (in case of first time installation) or reboot (in case of update) the computer.

Update 4.06, 02/04/2015

- TCO: Now supports ASIO double speed. With ASIO at 88.2 or 96 kHz the TCO's sample rate display will show these sample rates and APP is caculated correctly.

TotalMix FX 1.08:

- Fixed wrong channel usage of the Aux feature (OctaMic XTC remote) with Multiface, RayDAT and HDSP 9632.

- OEM only: bug fix ADM with playback channels

- New options under Options, Reset Mix: Set all channels mono, set all channel stereo, set all inputs mono/all outputs stereo (ADM). Attention: although these options do not cause a complete reset of the mixer, the pan settings still get lost (Undo can be used to get the former settings/state back).

----------------------

Update 4.05, 12/17/2014

- Fix: Using more than one interface, ADM always controlled the interface of the current output

TotalMix FX 1.07:

- Changed sample rate display in the TM FX title bar to show the system frequency

- Fix: ADM steered wrong channels when some channels were in mono mode

- Volume of Listenback input is saved

----------------------

Update 4.04, 10/08/2014

- MIDI fixed for the newly supported 'old' interfaces, fixing also various related side effects

- Settings (F3) did not work correctly. Chosing specific Talkback/Listen channels could cause more trouble.

- Improved device detection (sometimes a RPM was detected for no obvious reason).

- Fix snapshot problem when using 9632 and AIO with analog input and output expansion boards

- Fix seldom order problem when using multiple HDSP cards

- Clear Submix (right mouse click) no longer deletes the submix of Talkback and Listen inputs

----------------------

- New option in Settings dialog to deactivate DirectMusic (Windows MIDI still active)

- The setting Lock Registry now also locks the sample rate

- New checkbox Multiface II in Settings dialog, activates correct ASIO latency with Multiface II

- Removes autostart of the old TotalMix

- Using the parameter /manual the rmeinstaller extracts all files to the directory C:\RMEdriver for manual driver installation, in case the installer quits with an error message

TotalMix FX 1.03

- 3 brightness levels to adjust the display to the monitor (Options - Preferences or F2)

- Restart of totalmixfx.exe loads the program from \System32 even on 64 bit systems

- CRM channel selection no longer limited

- Small graphics glitch with Mute and Solo buttons fixed (Group and 135%)

----------------------

Update 4.0, 07/15/2014

Compared to the last public driver 3.42, version 4.0 has these changes:

- Changing the sample rate now unloads and reloads all existing WDM devices

- Extended configuration of WDM devices includes: global choice between multi-channel (up to 8 channels) or stereo (2 channels) WDM devices. Via Configure a table is shown which allows any of these devices to be activated or deactivated. It is not required anymore to have the first WDM device plus consecutive ones active. The configure dialog can be switched to the Speaker view, where any of the currently active WDM devices can be assigned with the Speaker property. This includes multiple Speaker assignments.

- Number of WDM devices can be set to 0, effectively disabling the WDM functionality and all its side effects

- Improved DirectSound compatibility and operation, especially in Surround/multi-channel modes

- Improved sync error display for external clocking

- TotalMix FX (1.02 or up) instead of TotalMix

- TotalMix / TotalMix FX can now read the hardware level meter information simultaneously with DIGICheck, giving valid readings

- Using the parameter /silent the rmeinstaller can be run unattended

----------------------
----------------------

Update 3.42, 06/04/2014

- on driver update or first installation the Fader Groups of TotalMix had not been initialised correctly

----------------------

Update 3.41, 05/16/2014

- Bug fix TCO: Fixed 23.976

- Improvement TCO: 23.976 with sync source WC now allows fine tuning of the sample rate

- The number of WDM devices can now also be set for Multiface and HDSP 9632

- WDM Devices setting changed from edit box to list box

- Changing the number of WDM devices becomes active immediately

- Increasing or decreasing the number of WDM devices will only add/remove the difference. The lower number WDM devices that are unaffected by such a change stay untouched, and can even be used during the change.

- Using the parameter /silent the installer can be run unattended

----------------------

Update 3.40, 04/02/2014

- New tab 'Options' in the Settings dialog, including all options formerly found on the 'About' tab (Lock registry, Optimize Multi-client Mixing, Enable MMCSS for ASIO)

- New functions on the Options tab of the Settings dialog: Change Card Order allows to change the order of the cards when more than one card is present in the system. ASIO 32 Channel Limit reduces the number of ASIO channels to 32 to prevent ProTools from crashing.

----------------------

Update 3.36, 05/21/2013

- ASIO 2.3 support with higher priority for the ASIO driver thread via MMCSS in the Settings dialog About page.

- Note: At this time, activating this option seems to be useful mostly with the latest Cubase/Nuendo at higher load. With other software this option can decrease performance. The change becomes active after an ASIO reset. Therefore it is easy to quickly check which setting works better.

- HDSPe PCI/ExpressCard: without attached box 'ock' was shown in the sample rate menu

- HDSPe AES: WDM Devices in the Settings dialog influenced the number of ASIO channels

- General WDM: The driver used the state of the Interleaved button of older drivers, which could cause the loss of surround playback capability

- General WDM: After selecting Stereo in the Loudspeaker setup a stereo playback blocked the first 8 channels

----------------------
