Why Is My Lynx E22 or E44 Not Recognized by My Computer?

This can occur because of a firmware issue on the device.

Warning: Before adjusting the switches on this device, the computer must be turned off and the card removed.

Locate the 4 switches on the component side of the board.

The default state should be switches 1, 2, and 3 OFF and switch 4 ON. If it is not in this state, set it to this configuration and see if it is recognized by the OS.

If this configuration does not work, set switch 3 ON and switch 4 OFF. This will start the device in backup firmware.

If the device is now recognized, run firmware updater for 1.6 (attached at the bottom of the article).

Set the switches back to the default setting of 1, 2, and 3 OFF and 4 ON.
