If you are having difficulty connecting your Bluetooth device to the BTC or BQC with SoundCheck, a common solution is to first disconnect the paired Bluetooth device and clear the paired list on the BTC or BQC interface.
How to disconnect a paired Bluetooth device:
There are two methods available.
- In SoundCheck, the message step (BTC Disconnect) can be used in a sequence to disconnect any paired device. Drag the step into the sequence at the point where you wish to disconnect your device (for example, at the very end of your sequence), and when the step is applied or run, it will disconnect the paired device from the interface.
- You can use the command prompt and enter the command “/d” or “--disconnect”. For more information on using the command prompt to control the BTC and BQC, please refer to this link.
How to clear the paired device list:
There are 3 methods available.
- In SoundCheck, in the message step (BTC Get Address). Ensure that the checkbox “Clear paired list” is selected. This automatically clears the paired list when searching for bluetooth devices.
- It can be cleared via command prompt and entering the command “/cp” or “--clear-paired”. For more information on using the command prompt to control the BTC and BQC, please refer to this link.
- (For BTC models only) On the BTC front panel, click “Connect>Paired>Clear”
Additional Troubleshooting
If you are still run into difficulties pairing your Bluetooth device, below are some additional troubleshooting tips:
- Restore the factory defaults on your BTC or BQC interface (instructions are listed below)
- Perform a power cycle of the BTC/BQC interface before pairing
- Replace the USB-B cable and ensure that the BTC/BQC interface is connected directly to your SoundCheck computer (not via a USB-hub)
How to restore factory default settings:
There are two methods available.
- It can be reset via command prompt and entering “/r” or “--restore” For more information on using the command prompt to control the BTC and BQC, please refer to this link.
- (For BTC models only) On the BTC front panel, hit the “Defaults” button at the bottom.
