How Do I Test the Speaker/Headphone out on My Smartphone or Other Portable Device?

Testing the audio output of devices such as tablets, phones and MP3 players can be challenging as they don't have an analog input to receive a test signal from SoundCheck. In cases like these, an "open loop" measurement technique can be employed.

A SoundCheck example sequence, Triggered Record Using WAV File walks you through the process of creating a stimulus in SoundCheck, saving it in WAV format and loading it onto the device under test.  The stimulus can then be played on the DUT and recorded and analyzed in SoundCheck.
